Sport Club Weight Room
The KU Recreation and Fitness Center has put together a little room for all the sport clubs to lift weights and exercise in. KU Cycling has taken full advantage of this new space and has implemented two spin sessions each week. Sundays, we meet for a 2 hour spin with random breakaways and sprints. Wednesdays, we meet to work on intervals for an hour and a half. We have consistently had 8 or more faces at each class and we are looking to bring more students in. Riders must be members of KU Cycling to receive this free spin class and use KU Cycling’s trainers. Currently, our new members are buying their own trainers so that they can train on their own time as well as attend the spin sessions. We have also run into the problem of not having enough trainers for everyone, so we are in the process of getting a few more of the Blackburn Fluid trainers. They are nice!
